Fuerteventura boasts some of the best beaches in the canaries, with over 150 spread out over its 340km of coastline, the island is a fascinating mix of endless white sands and volcanic landscapes.
The atmosphere on Fuerteventura is fairly peaceful and the nightlife is very low key, with the exception of Correlejo which is the busiest resort on Fuerteventua. With its English bars and streets filled with shops and restaurants, and plenty of watersport’s available, Correlejo offers something for everyone.
A drive east will take you to the popular family friendly resort of Caleta de Fuste, much quieter, but with a wealth of facilities around its wide horseshoe-shaped beach.
Although Fuerteventura attracts those in search of a slow pace and idyllic beaches to unwind on, the island is one of the best places in the world for windsurfing, playing host to the world windsurfing championship every year.
Day trips by ferry to Lanzarote are also popular and the island itself is easily explored by car !
