Do I have to leave a deposit upon arrival?
A Credit card deposit will be required upon arrival to cover the CDW/Theft Excess (if applicable), petrol and any additional items (baby/child seats). Please note the credit card must be in the lead driver's name.

Are cash deposit’s accepted?
Cash deposits are not normally accepted. Most car hire companies require a valid major credit card for a deposit to cover an excess if applicable, petrol & any extras. If you do not have a credit card, please email us at: sales.flexitravel@firstchoice.co.uk with your booking details so we can advise if an alternative deposit payment is available.

Can I leave my deposit by Debit Card?
No a Debit Card cannot be used as deposit payment. A credit card deposit is

When do I pay for additional items such as baby/child seats, additional drivers etc.?
All additional items are paid directly to the local supplier. Please note all additional items are subject to tax.

How can I add additional items to my booking?
Additional items can be requested at the time of booking. How do I add additional drivers?
Additional drivers will be added to rental agreement upon arrival in resort. Additional driver fees are paid directly to the supplier & the fee is subject to local tax.

What is included in the price?
Included within our rates is: Unlimited mileage (some exceptions apply in Canada), CDW*/LDW, Third Party Insurance, Fire & Theft Waiver (TW)*, local taxes and airport fees. * Please see question 16 for full details on CDW & question 17 for TW. What is CDW?
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces the renter's liability from the total cost of the damage, to an excess amount where applicable unless the renter intentionally causes the damage; is under the influence of drink or drugs, or uses the vehicle in a prohibited way e.g. hiring to other parties. CDW covers liability for damage to the vehicle or its parts and accessories however in most destinations windscreens, tyres, under carriage, replacement locks, replacement keys and towing charges are not covered under
the insurance policy. Please note a deposit will be required to cover the excess amount upon arrival.

Can the CDW excess be reduced?
Onairportcarhire.com offers a Super Cover product that either reduces or
waiver's the excess. This product is displayed as 'S-COVER' and will be
given as an option (if available at your chosen location) when making your
booking.

What is TW?
Theft Waiver (TW) reduces the renter's liability in the event of theft or
damages caused due to theft or attempted theft of the vehicle to an excess
amount where applicable. Please read our terms & conditions for further
information.

How will the supplier know I’ve pre-paid my rental?
Onairportcarhire.com provide a pre-paid voucher; please note this is
branded as Suncars. This needs to presented this upon arrival; the supplier
will then know the reservation has been pre-paid.

Is there a Suncars desk in the arrivals hall?
No. Onairportcarhire.com is operated by Suncars Ltd, which is a subsidiary
of First Choice Holidays PLC; your local supplier will be detailed on your
prepaid voucher together where to go upon arrival in resort.

How old are the vehicles?
The average life of a ‘hire vehicle’ is 6 months for Economy - Intermediate car groups. All other groups are changed approximately every 12 months.

What if my flight is delayed?
Provided the correct flight number has been given prior to your departure,
the supplier will monitor the flight and wait for your arrival. Please note
additional ‘out of hours’ fees can be charged if the vehicle is collected
after normal office hours.

Can I hire a vehicle if I have endorsements on my licence?
In many cases, you will still be able to hire a rental vehicle however this
needs to be confirmed prior to making your reservation. For confirmation
please e-mail your booking & endorsement details to

Is the green style driving license accepted?
Yes this type of license is accepted

I have a photo card license, do I need any other documents?
If you hold photo card licence, the paper documents must accompany the photo card & be provided to the hire company upon arrival.

I have an international driving license, can I hire a vehicle?

call us on 0871 664 9007 as we need confirmation from the supplier your
license would be accepted.

Is there a minimum duration I must have held my license for?
Drivers must produce a full British driving license held for at least 1
year, some locations require 2 years. If you have held your license for
less than 2 years please email your booking details to sales.flexitravel@firstchoice.co.uk

What happens when a vehicle is on request?
If the vehicle you require is on request, we will endeavour to contact you within 72 hours to confirm the booking. In cases where we cannot confirm the vehicle you require, we will try to offer you a suitable replacement.

How late can I make a booking?

What is the minimum age to hire a car?

What is the maximum age to hire a car?
The maximum age varies by location. If you over 68years old please e-mail your age together with your booking details to sales.flexitravel@firstchoice.co.uk so we can confirm your rental is possible.

Which car hire suppliers do you use?
We have negotiated the best deals on your behalf with all the major international car hire suppliers, plus many local specialist rental companies. These suppliers include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Europcar, Hertz, and Thrifty.

When will I receive my car hire voucher?
Your car hire voucher will be dispatched 25 days prior to departure provided full arrival details such as your flight number are given at the time of booking.

What documentation will I need to collect my car?
Please ensure you travel with your pre-paid car hire voucher, full valid national driving licence and passport.

I have not received my voucher yet or a confirmation e-mail?
If you have not received your car hire voucher within 20 days of the rental start date it may be because we are still awaiting your flight number.

What happens if I drop my car off late?
Suppliers will normally charge an additional days rental. Please note this is at the discretion of the supplier any charges will be payable locally in local currency and additional taxes could apply.

Will I get the exact make and model of the car that I have requested?
Onairportcarhire.com cannot guarantee the exact make and model, however the car hire supplier will provide a similar make and model to vehicle booked.

What is your petrol policy?
Each supplier has a different petrol poilcy. Information regarding your supplier's petrol policy will be detailed on your pre-paid voucher.

What does S-COVER mean?
S-COVER means Super Cover. This product will reduce or waiver the CDW excess.

Can I pick-up a car in one location & drop off in another?
